Main Hall
Our spacious Main Hall is the perfect venue for your event. With a beautifully maintained parquet wood floor, it provides a lovely space for up to 100 guests when seated at tables for a sit-down meal. The hall can also accommodate 150 people for dancing the night away at a wedding reception or party. For performances or presentations, it offers theater-style seating for an audience of 150 and Wi-Fi access is also available. Within the main hall area is a bar allowing your guests to acquire drinks conveniently on-site. We hold a premises license, but hirers must engage a properly qualified individual if they wish to sell alcohol. Alternatively, if they choose to distribute alcohol for free, they must sign a disclaimer.
Kitchen
Our newly renovated kitchen in 2019 is fully equipped to handle large events. With commercial-grade appliances including two range cookers, a tall fridge, commercial dishwasher and hot water boiler, our facilities have everything needed to serve your guests. Additional amenities like a hot cupboard and small bain marie ensure food stays warm and tasty. The kitchen connects directly to modern toilet facilities, including disabled and baby changing areas. So whether you’re hosting a sit-down meal for 100 or need to prepare snacks for 150, our professional standard kitchen has the capacity to meet all your catering needs.
Children’s play area
For events with young guests, our children’s play area is a great asset. Accessed directly from the main hall, it features new equipment suitable and accessible for all abilities. Parents will appreciate the two wheelchair accessible picnic benches providing shaded seating to supervise children. After working up an appetite on the play structures, families can spread out to the centre’s 3 acre playing field right outside. With this much outdoor space, kids can run free and burn off energy. So whether you’re hosting a kids party or wedding reception with children attending, our facilities offer fun and inclusive play options to keep the little ones entertained throughout your booking.
Meeting Room
If you’re looking for a more intimate space, consider booking our meeting room. Seating up to 15 people comfortably around tables, this room is perfect for smaller gatherings, committee meetings, workshops and classes. Full Wi-Fi access is also available. In addition to the meeting space, hire of this room includes use of our fully equipped kitchen so you can prepare refreshments. You’ll also have exclusive access to toilet facilities during your booking.
Outdoor Field Space
For larger celebrations and activities, we also have almost 3 acres of grassed field space available to rent. Perfect for summer fairs, family fun days, outdoor yoga classes or children’s parties, our fields provide plenty of room to spread out while still having access to the community centre’s indoor amenities. Host your event completely outdoors but give guests the option to use our facilities like the kitchen and toilets.
