About Whepstead Community Centre
Whepstead Community Centre is located just 7 minutes from Bury St Edmunds and provides a fantastic venue for local events and celebrations.
Our main hall was recently redecorated and is the perfect space to host parties, wedding receptions, caravan rallies, and other social gatherings. The hall is equipped to seat 100 guests at tables, accommodate 150 for dancing, or seat 150 in a closely packed audience arrangement.
In addition to the main hall, we have a meeting room available for hire with Wi-Fi access. It includes use of the on-site kitchen and toilet facilities. Both rooms are wheelchair accessible and we have an adapted toilet as well as an audio loop system.
When not being used for private functions, the community centre is a hub for local groups and activities. You’ll find everything from keep fit classes to cricket club meetings to karate lessons happening here. We also have an outdoor play area with new equipment installed in 2010 to cater to children of all abilities. Two disability-friendly picnic benches provide seating as well.
